On Saturday afternoon, August 22, 2026, YGIS members Katelyn and Vincent volunteered at Edmonton’s Food Bank, spending the afternoon giving back and supporting local families.
Katelyn described the experience as truly empowering, being able to work towards helping local families and our people.” Through a hardworking afternoon, she learned “so much about the thought and process that goes into making the Food Bank into a reality.” She looks forward to “working with The Edmonton Food Bank for another successful mission” and is grateful for the opportunity “to give a helping hand to our community.” As Katelyn beautifully put it, “At the end of the day, I’ve found that volunteering also comes with a high reward. Impact.” YGIS is proud of Katelyn and Vincent for turning their time and effort into meaningful community impact.
