Stephen Jiang is President Youth Lead and Founder of Youth Global Impact Society (YGIS), a youth-led nonprofit organization focused on helping young people grow through leadership, service, and community involvement. In this role, he helps guide youth-led initiatives, support team collaboration, and contribute to projects that aim to create positive impact in the community.

Stephen is currently a student at Stratford School in Edmonton and will be attending Lillian Osborne High School. He is also involved in youth leadership at Ellerslie Road Baptist Church and serves as a member of the City of Edmonton Youth Council.

In addition to his leadership work, Stephen is a dedicated athlete who has earned recognition in regional hockey competitions and won a gold medal at the city championship during junior high. He is passionate about youth empowerment, leadership development, and contributing to meaningful change through service and collaboration.

Bridget Zhou is Finance Youth Lead at YGIS and a Grade 9 student at Nellie Carlson School in Edmonton Alberta with a strong passion for leadership and community engagement. She is actively involved in Allstar competitive cheerleading, where she has earned multiple gold medals through dedication, teamwork, and perseverance. Bridget has also developed strong skills in debate and public speaking, allowing her to communicate with confidence and connect effectively with others. With a positive mindset and strong problem-solving abilities, she is committed to helping create an inclusive, encouraging, and engaging experience for everyone.

Isabella Lu is Operations Youth Lead at YGIS and a Grade 10 student at Lillian Osborne High School in Edmonton Alberta with a strong interest in community service, leadership, and global health. She has volunteered with local organizations, supported fundraising and outreach initiatives, and built leadership experience as a ski and swim instructor as well as a Counsellor in Training at the YMCA, where she helped lead summer camp activities for children under 12. Isabella is also certified in First Aid, reflecting her sense of responsibility and commitment to safety. In addition to her community involvement, she was selected for the Edmonton Public School Board Honor Band, earned a gold medal in the Science Olympiad, and achieved outstanding results in the World Scholar’s Cup. She is passionate about helping others and contributing to a positive, supportive community.

Allen Cui is Human Resources Youth Lead at YGIS and a Grade 10 student at Old Scona Academic in Edmonton Alberta with a strong commitment to leadership, service, and community involvement. He has contributed through programs such as the City of Edmonton’s Leaders in Training and Edvic Edu, where he taught a variety of subjects to students aged 10 to 12, and he also serves as a referee for the EFHL. Allen has supported charity initiatives through his school band, earned honours in RCM Level 10, and achieved strong results in both debate and Model UN at the provincial and national levels, including Best Speaker and Best Delegate awards. He is passionate about youth empowerment through leadership and is dedicated to making a positive impact in his community.

Alvis Zhang is a high-achieving student at Stratford School who consistently demonstrates academic excellence across all subjects. Once quiet by nature, he has worked hard to build his confidence in public speaking and debate, and now serves as a class representative on Student Council, contributing ideas and supporting school initiatives.

Beyond academics, Alvis is an accomplished swimmer who has competed in provincial finals in his age group. He is also passionate about music and enjoys teaching himself new piano pieces through curiosity and dedication. Thoughtful, disciplined, and eager to learn, Alvis is excited to attend Grandview Heights School for Grade 7 and further develop his leadership skills in the years ahead.

Michelle Jiang is Principal Advisor at YGIS and UWC alumni.

Jacqueline Rosario is an advisor at YGIS who is currently completing IBDP Year 1 at a UWC. Committed to making a meaningful difference through service and leadership, she has contributed to both animal welfare and youth community initiatives. Jacqueline previously volunteered with the Whitecourt Homeless Animal Rescue Foundation and served as a member of the Alberta Gallery of Art Youth Council, where she helped support Edmonton’s youth arts community through events and fundraising. Outside of her community involvement, she enjoys writing and playing bass.
